“I’m very happy to win today in four. It was a very tough match, for me mentally as well. I have been playing so badly for two tournaments and this is the first good win of the season.
“The injury I had taught me so many things – on and off court – I’m not there mentally yet and I’m not strong yet but I’m trying to be consistent like I was before and hopefully it works this tournament.
“It’s a very big tournament here, everyone is watching and it’s a huge thing for all of the players to be here playing in front of the Pyramids – it’s a great event and I’m happy it’s back.”
